Shipping policy

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING DUTIES, TAX AND SERVICE CHARGES
If your delivery address is not within the Sweden, you may be subject to import duties, taxes and delivery service charges, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You will need to pay any additional charges for customs clearance. Please be aware that customs policies vary widely from country to country and we advise you to contact your local customs office for further information.

International Delivery

We can ship your artwork globally by our trusted couriers DHL and on occasion TNT or other services.  Please note that further charges for customs, duties, VAT and other charges may apply and it is your sole responsibility to pay these. For more information see here.

Customs Duties, Fees, Taxes, Levies & Other Charges:
Items delivered to destinations outside the Sweden may be subject to taxes, fees, customs duty, levies, or other charges as a result of local legislation or customs formalities.

In the majority of cases, the recipient will be responsible for all customs formalities for the import of the items and will be required to pay any additional charges for international delivery, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies, and other charges that may be levied outside the Sweden. You will typically receive a separate request for payment of these charges when the goods arrive in the country of destination.

Please note that in some countries, such as the USA and Canada, the person ordering may receive a request for payment of these charges, in which case you will be responsible for paying these additional charges.

Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, so we are unable to offer any assistance on these processes, it is a matter of legislation in each country how the customs authorities deal with them.

We advise that you check any customs formalities and the import charges applicable in countries other than the Sweden before you place your order. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide you with information which we hold relating to the items or order for which you may need to arrange customs clearance.

You will be the importer for all international deliveries of the artworks. Therefore, before placing an order, you are responsible for checking that any items ordered comply with country, state and/or federal government import regulations and that there are no local requirements or restrictions which may affect receipt of your order.

We will act on your behalf as an exporter of the items and will complete export declarations in our name on your behalf.

How to return an artwork

ATTENTION! No returns must be sent back before approval from Miva Fine Art.
To initiate a return, please email retur@mivafineart.com and:
- Use the subject line "Return request",
- See the order number, the artist's name and the name of the artwork in your email.
- Include the receipt on the proof of purchase that you received at the time of purchase

Once you have requested the return, our customer service will contact you to begin the process of obtaining a return shipping quote for you. Art must be handled with care, so return shipping of artwork can only be arranged by us to ensure safe transport. Please note that return shipping may need to be arranged with art shipping based on specific information, such as if the work needs to be professionally repackaged. This decision will be made at the discretion of Miva Fine Art Gallery to ensure safe transport back to the gallery. The return shipping charges will therefore differ from the charges originally paid to ship the work.

Once you have received the quote for return shipping, you have the option to decide whether you want to continue with the return process. If you decide to proceed, you must respond within two (2) business days, and the cost of insured return shipping will be deducted from the total amount returned to your original payment method. Please note that the cost of shipping the artwork to you is non-refundable. If you accept the shipping quote, we will provide you with instructions and support throughout the return process.

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded using your original payment method within 10 business days. Remember that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund as well.

If it has been more than 10 working days since we approved your return, please contact us at return@mivafineart.com. The value of any damages assessed when the work is returned to the gallery will also be deducted from the total amount refunded, up to 100% if the work is no longer salable.

Please note that any import duties and value added taxes (VAT) cannot be recovered if you are returning an artwork from outside the EU.
