About the event
Camilla Lundén is a proficient actress and artist renowned for her striking paintings of women that exude strength and vibrancy. Her artwork is a testament to her exceptional talent and ability to capture the essence of the female form in a bold and expressive manner.
Camilla was born in Stockholm in 1967 and throughout her adult life has worked to express herself artistically. As an actress, she played the main role in Rickard Hobert's film suite about the seven deadly sins and was nominated for the Guldbag Award for her leading role in the film "Run for Life".
Later, Camilla changed direction and started painting full time. In her studio in Stockholm's archipelago, she plays out her female colorful works, a result in large colorful paintings with women in the various leading roles.
In terms of expression, she uses spray, acrylic and oil paints and constantly tries to challenge herself in her painting.
The women I paint are not meant to be beautiful, she says.
- I want to paint and find the woman's soul and it is always beautiful regardless of the shell. Happiness is not about having a beautiful shell. There are several exciting shades within, which float forward freely in my women on the canvases.
